The SX Brandmark

Get the brand you need! This is the message for all cattle farmers who are looking for assurance of quality.

You do not have to look further than SUSSEX! The $ X brand is used by the Society on all bulls after they have been inspected and approved for sale.

The Society is so serious about the use of the brand that the actual branding irons are only allowed to be used by Senior Inspectors; as registered by the Sussex Society; in different parts of the country. This serves to reassure buyers that bulls with the $ X brand are registered animals and have been approved by Sussex Senior Inspectors.

Only bulls that have been performance tested and are visually and functionally correct, may carry this assurance of quality on the left shoulder.Buyers should be aware that any bull sold without this brand has not been approved according to the breed standards of the Sussex Society. This includes animals that are sold direct from the farm.

The $ X brand is registered with the Department of Agriculture for exclusive use by the Sussex Society.
